System Analyst

        Systems analysts examine existing IT systems and write requirements for new ones.

        Systems analysts analyze how well software, hardware and the wider IT system fit the business needs of their employer or of a client. They write requirements for new systems and may also help implement them and monitor their effectiveness.

Typical responsibilities of the job include:
  • examining current systems
  • talking to users (requirements gathering)
  • producing specifications for new or modified systems
  • liaising with other IT staff such as programmers to produce new systems
  • implementing new systems

There is no specific course to become a system analyst. You can become a system analyst by understanding the problem and creating ways to solve it

For example., If there is a problem to find the shortest route for a destination from source. A system analyst brings the possible components required to find an efficient solution. Here to find the shortest route we need to know different paths therefore an analyst gives a map. Also states necessary tools to find like ruler (scale) to measure etc.,
  • The systems analyst investigates and interprets this sophisticated collection of data and decides the next course of action, such as completing a performance upgrade or installing new software. Following the project deployment, the analyst must evaluate the success or failure of the initiative.
  • A systems analyst needs to understand both the business and computing aspects of a problem as well as be able to explain potential IT solutions to all stakeholders in “layman’s” terms.
  • A systems analyst must be innovative, sometimes approaching a business problem with a non-traditional solution
